Why Join the PTA?
Monies are needed to provide our students and staff learning tools, educational experiences, and a sense of overall well being. This is made possible through your family's donation to become a member of the PTA. Below are some examples of how your monies will be spent:

Teacher Allocation: $15 per student toward classroom expenses

Fifth Grade Camp

Math Pentathlon
- Science Olympiad
- Night of the Arts
- DJs for School Dances
- Staff Appreciation Week
- Special improvements such as the Gym Climbing Wall and Outdoor Classroom
Who makes up the “PTA”?
The Parent and Teacher Association (PTA) provides necessary financial, educational and community support to ensure our students and Greenfield Staff enjoy a successful academic and social school year. The PTA is comprised of:
- Executive Board- President, President Elect, Treasurer, Treasurer Elect, Secretary, Fundraising Coordinator, Event and Activity Coordinator, Membership Coordinator
- Principal
- Teacher/Staff Liaison (Mrs. Rowland)
- Greenfield Teachers and Families (via donation to the PTA)
What does the PTA do?
During the month of August, the Executive Board and School Administration prepares for the upcoming school year. Preparation includes:
- Calendar - Mapping Social Events, Fundraisers, PTA Executive and General Board Meetings, Staff Conferences and Staff Appreciation Week
- Budget- Review of current balance, forecasting of upcoming school year expenses and allocating the best use of PTA funds for the academic year
- Brainstorming - How can the PTA continue to provide the best care for our students and staff?
Throughout the school year, PTA General Meetings are held every other month, starting in September. (Stay tuned for dates and times via the Greenfield Gazette weekly email, PTA email and school calendar.) All families are welcome to attend PTA General Meetings.
How to Join the PTA
There is a PTA registration form that you can fill out and send back to the school with your child for processing. All contributions levels of $20 - $100 and more, per family, are welcome. As a small thank you for your donation, with a minimum donation of $20, your child(ren) will receive a Greenfield Elementary water bottle sticker. Stickers will be distributed at the Back to School Picnic and during the month of September.

Volunteer Opportunities - Connect to the Greenfield Elementary Community
Showing our children the value of support and volunteerism that directly improves their school is a lesson that will last a lifetime. There will be many volunteer opportunities to support the activities and events facilitated by the PTA this school year. Volunteer opportunities will be communicated via the PTA section in the Greenfield Gazette, PTA emails, as well our Facebook page. Stay tuned!
Please note, by donating and becoming a member of the PTA, you are not obligated to attend PTA meetings or volunteer for PTA sponsored events.
